I was commissioned to create a show by Volk Gallery, a vending machine gallery in Dundee. I created an edition of fifty pin badges, decorations and riso printed illustrated backing cards, inspired by a story about a polar bear escaping in Dundee.

The polar bear was called Bruin, and was captured by a whaling ship and returned to Dundee to be displayed for the Dundonian public. Bruin escaped and entered a shop before being recaptured and put back on display. Help him escape the vending machine this festive season.

The badges were lasercut from sustainable plywood in DCA’s Print Studio. Each polar bear is uniquely hand painted and ready to accompany you on Dundee adventures.

The show is open from the 1st December until 26th January 2024.
